Advantages of using Nim-Cor Air Chucks

The need to use a heavy impact hammer for good core engagement with traditional, wedge-type mechanical chucks often leads to ruined cores or difficult removal. Nim-Cor's pneumatic grabber chucks offer many advantages over mechanical types—

• They insert easily into the core end and on inflation a high torque grip is generated.
• The chuck slides out easily without damage to the core ends when the air is released.
• All chucks can be bored to fit over and clamp onto many core bar configurations.
• Chucks are fitted with one aluminum split clamping collar that can be fitted for heavy duty operations.

Nim-Cor will also manufacture "Dead Bars" for mounting our air chucks or other core-gripping devices, with ends of journals machined to your specifications.

Nim-Cor Air Chuck construction The inflating element is made of neoprene or molded polyurethane, dependent upon the size, and has a heavy wall for high durability. All aluminum components are of cast-type aluminum aged for maximum strength and long life. The air value can be easily replaced without disturbing any other components. All chucks can be supplied with or without core stop flanges. Multiple chucks can be linked together pneumatically to provide for single point inflation.
