A leader in web-process technology
|
|

Established in 1952, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Nim-Cor,
Inc. was originally the U.S. division of British-owned
W.P. Evans, manufacturers of process equipment for
the manufacture of raw paper. Since refocusing its
business in 1961 on airshaft technology, the company
has evolved into one of the major manufacturers and
suppliers in North and South America of airshafts,
bowed rolls, air chucks, air mechanical chucks, safety
chucks and accessories for web-process applications.
From
1975 until 1999 Nim-Cor was owned by several major
British owned multi-national engineering groups. In
each case these groups recognized Nim-Cor's strength
and encouraged the company to develop and diversify.
|
Nim-Cor
was sold in 1999 to the American investment firm E.O. Smith
& Co. of New York, N.Y., a majority shareholder in Magnat
Roll and Webex. Under this new ownership, Nim-Cor has upgraded
its manufacturing system and offices at its headquarters
in Nashua, New Hampshire, and continues to upgrade its manufacturing
facilities to improve the quality and delivery of its products
and solutions for the web-process industry.
